Default day at the car wash

first time i brought my car at the car wash...too hot to wash it myself...after the wash, my trunk was all wet, the trunk liner was dripping with water when i took them off, the side plastic container next to the jack was filled with water to the brim...i am sure the trunk was closed tight when i drove them to the wash, i checked the weather stripping at the lid and they're all tight...is there a drain that's supposed to be cleared around the trunk lid? how did those water get inside the trunk? anyone has this happened to them? i have a 1992 525, thanks.

close yourself in the trunk and look for light, there has to be a huge gap somewhere!

    ps dont try this alone.

I believe the sunroof drain goes down the c-pillar or something, and if it gets plugged, you get overflow into the trunk...

thanks, for the replies but can you tell me where the sunroof drain is and what's the best way to unclog it?

open the sunroof all the way...there should be channels in the corners...get a high power air hose and blow in to it...
