hard to say how bad that one is to install as it's not a bmw system, the factory harness takes all of about 5 minutes to plug in and mount the unit uner the back seat, it takes longer to fish the led and mic under the carpet to the back of the console then anything

Oooh, is that what that led is for on the back of the console?? I was wondering about that.

So, you could have that LED box in the back of the console and still not have the receiver under the seat? Or, the presense of the LED indicates that you do have the capability for key FOB?

I'm sorry, I'm new to my car and BMW, and I'm still learning about the car... I haven't had the time to figure out how to rip the back seat up yet - I was working on the radio. (BTW - HUGE thanks for the help on that Winfred. The number you gave me worked)

As far as the back seat goes, sit to one side at a time. Put your hands on the front edge of the seat, lift yourself slightly off seat and give it a good tug upwards. Then do it to the other side.

I went and got the OEM keyless/alarm kit, but found no 12-pin plug by the battery for me to plug the module into. I may need to go fishing for wires... anyone have any advice on this?

I bought one of their keyless/alarm systems for my '89 e34. Their customer service is spotty. My system has yet to work. Will keep you posted, but would be wary if thinking of purchasing.

I bought a keyless off ebay, wich was just the reciever and remotes, wasnt made for bmw at all, but there are only 4 wires you need to hook up to.

    -Unlock
    -Lock
    - Power +12
    - ground

I got mine to work after some help from Javier, do a search, its lot of info in the that thread.
