Here's an idea,
One of your front ABS sensors is dead.....
Or one of the pump solenoids has gone open circut.
And all E34's had ABS didn't they???............
Long story short.. a while back my indy replaced ma spent rear wheel bearing with good used ones (complete with rear axle support assembly), but from a car that never had ABS system. Ever since then I noticed the ABS Light comes on after hitting the road. Lately I replaced the same complete assembly with one that has ABS, problem the ABS light won't go off.
Please help me!! I am thinking the ABS relay is the problem, but can't even find itSo far I have changed the ABS control Unit. Any Ideas

Thanks for the reply Sir. Actually I also know all E34's had ABS system, but am still wondering up to now where this Indy got the part from that never had an ABS sensor port. Is it possible that he got it from an E28?
Possible, but stupid if he did...They have different rear suspension geometry.
SIR?......nah............
ABS relay is located under the black cover on the abs pump AFAIK.

dumb question, but did you clear the error code? have you road tested and confirmed the ABS is operating? Is your cruise control working (if so equipped)?
