Disassemble the unit and have a look inside where the button touches, maybe the board is damaged there. A little soldering might help. Also check the 'cover' inside on the button if that is clean as it is a contact surface.
So, I am getting tired of my car talking to me in German, I used the Bentley to reset the language. Well, I turned the ignition to radio mode, pushed down the right button (in picture below) and waited, and waited.......and waited. Nothing happend. Is it possible that the button/knob is broken? is there another option other than buying a new cluster?
yes, do the conversion, thats 109k original miles on a May 1990 production car.

not sure what you mean by "radio" position...but if that is position 2...then you have turned the igntion too far.Originally Posted by Sandwar
