Default Too Good to be True??

As we all do I was cruising one of my favorite porn sites, the 5 series up for auction on eBay. Anywho, came across this very clean looking 89 535, with almost absurdly low miles (82k). What puzzles me is the condition of the driver's seat, which looks really beat up for that mileage... For that matter the rear seat does too. (pics 14-19) Anybody sitting on a free carfax who can check the mileage?

For comparison, check out this 93 with 240k mi...

Probably. Some of the front end pieces don't line up right (re: left side bumper, etc). The model number is wayyyy off whack. This baby has probably been repainted.

He wants almost 7000 for it... that ain't cheap at all. It hasn't hit the reserve, and chances are its set at the buy-it now price.

The upside down exhaust tip, the ghetto stereo, the dry cracked seats, and the cow dung on the engine kind of make me wonder. My car had 80K in the 1994 vintage, but that came with paperwork for the engine alusil to current replacement. Unless homer swapped out the engine, I don't see how 80K garage kept would be anything other than a lucid dream.

So the VIN is correct, but it is the first E34 I've seen with a vin layout like that. Usually they are like BF00747 ( the OZ ones are at least!)
