    Default Still not RWD, but.................

    Wow, nice job.

May rub some of u the wrong way, but i think it’s tasteful (xcept for the ///M badge). It certainly isn’t rice.
Euro elipsoids would be a vast improvement over the stock lights anyway.
This is what the car should look like.

Check my reaction to the Sentra boys.

Oh yeah, most SE-R peeps are very poor 3er guys, check this.

BTW for those of u who have never driven one of these, do so. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s FWD but if BMW ever built one this would be it. Shiyat............they build trucks now, no?
91-93 Nissan Sentra SE-R or an NX2000. And it has to be the SE-R/2000, a 94 will do, but the engine is detuned slightly. 95 on suxors cause they lost the independent rear suspens.

    Not to be elitest....

but you can dress up a pile of ****, and it still just a pile of ****.

Not that i'm raggin' on Nissan's or ANYTHING (believe me, i love the reliability of them!)

I just don't like when people put false badges on ****. Drop the roundels and the ///M badges and it'd be nice. But if its not a BMW, why present it as one?

Doesn't that just lessen the respect for Nissan?

    Yeah, you are being elitist.
That’s OK, i can be just as well. The only Nissan product that ‘speaks’ to me is the 91-93 B13 chassis w/ the SR20 engine. There is much to admire in the rest of their models and generations. But only this combination elevates the driving experience. On the other hand, many of BMWs products do this. From the two cars i own to several i've driven (including Brandon’s M5 powered 525). Back to the 1st time. A test drive of a 93 325i in 1997. No way i could afford it, looking at another car actually (92 Q45 for 2/3s the price). But knew then i had found my ‘perfect’ car. Ok maybe i’ll eventually swing a 4door e36 M3.
OTOH second gen RX-7s have spoken to me too.

    Anywhoos.
The original SE-R made Car&Drivers 10best list EVERY year it was produced.
Of it’s t-top sports coupe platform sibling they said (& i quote) “If Porsche could learn to build an inexpensive car, this would be it!”
Most Nissans are reliable mass produced pods of transport, some of their products even make the drive pleasureable. W/ this car tho they reached for something beyond simple liking the trip and went for true driving joy. And hit the mark. Like BMW does (or used to do) w/ every car

Far more importantly this is something that an auto enthusiast can use to mess w/ the head of motor dimwits.

Don't get me wrong, i dont 'dislike' anythign because its not BMW.

My only issue with it was that it was pretending to be something it wasn't. It bothers me when Subaru guys put STi tags on their WRX's or WRX tags on their 2.5rs. I just dont see the point in it.

Although, i think it would look a lot better with some M3 mirrors....

Default agreed. If it's such a great car....

why do they try to make it something else? There's something very wrong about dressing it up like that. If it were a poor performing car, it would be better because then you could take it as a joke.
