Missing Realy & other problems...

Hi everyone, I have an 1994 e34 525I se Touring auto its a great car but and have a few problems...

#1 the rear demister doesnt work. both fuses are ok but the relay is missing. does anyone know the part number or wiring setup? My local BMW garage doesnt want to help (Unless i want to buy a new BMW!)

#2 The air con doesnt seem to work, i've checked the relay and fuses and its ok. I also shorted the comprssor cluch to 12V and that works too (getting cold air). Any suggestions, i'm thinking is a possible thermostat fault?

#3 The Double sunroof doesn't open. when you press the open button nothing happens, but when you press close a motor runs. The switch seems ok.

2 and 1 are related. they are both connected to the IHKR AC control box under the dash. mine is fried, and as such doesnt let either the window heater or air con work.

the reason its fried is the PO never changed the cabin air filter, and there was massive contamination in that area. even the wiring harness to the box had started to corrode.

the relay is the yellow diode relay i believe, you can borrow the one from the extra relay box in the engine bay to see if its just the relay thats dead for the window heater.

WHere can I find directions on replacing the cabin air filter?

maybe you do not have a microfilter, check it out for your year. I think they were installed from around 06 or 09/1990
