I'm wondering if this is worth going for. I've been a long-time lurker and some of you are great BMW specialists.

1995 740i
Black (new paint) on black interior
198 mi on the car. The engine/transmission was replaced 74 mi ago.
AC doesn't work
CD player doesn't work
Some sort of problem with the passenger door
$5000

I will be going to see the car soon. Please let me know what I should look for. Are there any buying guides?
