Cabrio Question...

I have a '94 525i and love it.

But, I'd like to have a convertible, too! Ultimately I'd end up with two cars, I need the 4-door sedan for when I haul the little ones around, etc.

Anyway, are there years to consider and not to consider when looking at them? I spent $4K on my 525i and would like to spend that or LESS on something like the 325iC.

I'd also prefer to have one that had the anti-roll pillars that pop up when it senses a potential rollover. What year were those added?

I doubt my $4K goal will be met, but would like to know what would come closest so I can look for the miracle deal like I got with my 525i.

(I'm also tossing around the idea of an older MG or something, too. )

I had the same budget and after narrowing things down kept coming back to the e30 for price, styling and reliability. Just picked up a clean '91 325ic for $3300. If you are patient they are out there! Good luck!
