    Default Spark Plug problem

Well, its been almost a month now since my e34 died on the highway...finally got my friend to help me isolate the problem and come to find the electrode from the spark plug broke off and pretty much destroyed a piston...

what could cause the electrode to just break like that?

or a really old really cheap plug at sustained high RPMs, but detonation is a much more likely scenario.

were the other plugs in bad shape? fouled?

Bosch suck I hate them I use NGK on everything even if I cant get the Iridiums or platnium I would rather use the G-powers than Bosch.. Allthough I usaually just order them in advance.. I the like the Laser Platnium or standerd Iridiums. The iridiums dont have to be gapped...
