hy, i'm from Cordoba Argentina, i'm new in this sector, i had a 520i '90 and my grandma has a 328i 1997, its unbrakable. Now my question is if the 318i or 318is from 1994 to 1996 is unbrakable like the 328i and what problems are frequent?. I m very scarried because my 520i was kinda living in the mechanic, and i dont wanna have this problem again.

i think that the m42 4cy had problems with leaking valve cover, and coolant leaking issues, more info one this could probally be found at bimmerforums.com, this is more for the e34's. if you want some info though id throw this in the 5 series forum here, lots of very knowlageable guy there.
