i mean if you have second class wheels - immitation or fakes or whatever, are you covered with insurance in an accident. i have very expensive fully comp and costs me $750. I would love so much to rid my basket weeves but if i loose my cover in a crash then its not worth it.

just declare it to them, and if they want to jack your premium up tell them to get ****ed.... seriously there is no grounds at all for them to do it.
however if you have wheels bigger than 1 inch larger in diameter than the biggest wheel that was available on the car in some states they are illegal. but even then, you'll still be okay.

Even so, these wheels might be fake T-stars as I cannot tell from the e-bay photo if these wheels accept the hub cap. They also look directional from the photo.
These are Style 9 wheels which have seven spokes.
These ebay wheels have five spokes.

I've seen a few E34's with these 'T' Star copies around the place.
When you get up close they're not actually a very good copy at all.

As far as being directional well they are... but all in the same direction, not mirrored pairs.
I've tended to take more notice since I bought a set of genuine 'T' Stars last year.

Thanks for your help again guys. Like I said in my first thread they look like a cross between t stars and the raised centre section of the m contours. I just want to know whether they are genuine BMW or not. I can't find them anywhere. I've been through realoem, numerous BMW wheel catalogues and even google. No find. The guy says they came off an E34 but being 'unmarked' I would say aftermarket. I reckon they look good but I don't want anything fake on my car. To me that's like putting Hyundai mudflaps on the old girl.

Wingman - they're replica T-stars. A user Wyn here used to have them on his car... they are FAKE.

lol i suppose i could act as somebody's agent, but for me i already have T-stars and they would look like a piece of the proverbial on the e28.
however if someone wanted to trade basketweaves 15" stock e34 wheels they would go well on my e28
