::.. How long do synchros last?
Supposing the car was never doubleclutched in it's life, and conversely, not downshifted hard... how long do synchros last? Sure our engines are somewhat bulletproof, but what of this?

Depends on a few factors, lube and changes, but I'd say anything over 200k is healthy out of a G260 in an E34.
best, whit
200k would mean that most of us that don't doubleclutch all the time will be due for at least a 1-2 synchro?
Good question Qube. Been wondering this one myself lately. My original ZF 5 speed in the 525 has over 310k miles on it with no problems (yet).
Since my engine should go another 300k, my question is:
Is it feasible to repair syncros, or is a new tranny generally a better idea?
