i wouldn't touch it. the bulbs are most likely made in korea. doesn't even mention anything about what kind of ballast it is.

if it's not made with philips, osram, hella, ge, or panasonic components (bulbs and ballasts), stay away.

    Rob,
Has the police ever given you trouble about the kit?

I've got a 5300 HID kit in euro-ellipsoids and haven't had any problems regarding the police or people flashing their brights.
I aligned them, and then had my indy check them with his alignment instrument. The adjustment he made was so minor he didn't charge me for it so I guess I must have done good. If anything, they may be adjusted too far down at the moment. Seems like they should be a little higher to me but the pattern and cutoff is extreme with this setup.
Regardless, if they're aligned properly, they're still not the brightest headlights on the road these days compared to what I've noticed on some newer vehicles, or even brighter mods, so I doubt if it will ever be an issue with the police.

    nope.

they're nice and bright, but do not glare other drivers. also, they're a pure white color instead of the ricey blue bulbs color.

No. It's actually a 5200K (had to check) from http://www.misterjung.com/ . I had a really hard time re: Alan and his customer service, or lack thereof, and he is pretty well-known for this on this site. http://www.hidforum.com/
It's a long story I won't bore you with but the boring short version is the first kit he sent was destroyed by UPS. Upon notification of this, months (yeah, months) went by and he still wouldn't send another kit even though I emailed and called and left a lot of voicemail messages. The only way I finally got his real attention was by reporting him to the MD Attorney General and his local BBB. He finally came through, with apologies. The system, and I'd better knock on some wood, seems to be working fine fwiw.
If I was going to do it again I'd talk to the guys at www.suvlights.com I had them makeup some cables/connectors so I didn't have to cut my stock connectors off. They were very helpful/knowledgeable. Some guys here like this company http://www.supremepowerparts.com/
Don't know if all these links work, I'm just pulling them off my 'Favorites' file.
