    Default Lookin for Wheels

I am in the market for some rims does anyone know a good website other then ebay, tire rack, wheel exchange, and lakeshore? Because I sure hate to go to the local tire shops because they dont know **** about my car, and when you tell them the offset, size, bolt pattern they give me one choice!

There isn't a lot of choices actually available. I found only about 5 suitable out of about 100 different styles!!

Spend the cash and get a set of Hamann HM2s!!!

Try the manufacturer's websites: Simmons, Lenso, BBS, etc. Email them and ask if they do a wheel to suits the 5/7/8 series.

    Gone but NEVER forgotten. :'(

    And then...

Also worth to note is that you can fit e39 rims with centering rings (or whatever they are called in english), only use plastic ones, aluminium gets stuck to the hub/rim so you have o clean it off and can only use the ring once.
Apart from the center hole size (e39 74mm, e34 72,5mm) everything else fits perfectly.

The e39 OEM cross-spoke BBS rims look so sexy on my e34

Indeed. Look at the E39 selections as well. I am using E39 CB wheels with plastic hub-centric rings and they work fantastically.

tires.com is another good choice. Also check the Roadfly wheels for sale section, make sure you check the E39 and E34 section, as well as the 7 and 8 series sections, because all will fit an E34.

    Default wheels

I have a set (4) of 15" Borbet type E wheels for sale off of my '94 540i. They are in excellent condition and are only 2 years old. I bought them on tirerack.com I think. They are powder coated with clear coat on top and a brushed lip/rim. I ended up replacing them with 15" stock basketweaves...I like the stock look I guess, but the Borbets are definitely sportier and make the car look a bit newer -- Mike

Anyone know of a site that has all the pictures of the different BMW rim styles? I know BMW clamps down on these being distributed on the net..
