    Default M50 2.5 to 2.0 head question

I have the "none" VANOS 2.5 litre engine, Recently the 2.5 head cracked and I had to ge it replaced. I got a 2.0 engine head from a guy on ebay who says the head will work fine on the 2.5. But comparing the 2 heads the air intake is slightly smaller (but the manafold still fits fine) and so are the cylinder bores. I don't really wanna try it as I don't wanna blow the thing up.

Now two of my friends say it will work just fine, just be alittle under powerd. But I'm not sure what will happen lol

Any idea's if this will still work?

if its anything like putting a 305 head on a 350 you will need 104 octane gas. But yah if the combustion chamber is smaller you will have more comrpession than stock which would be bad unless you got higher octane gas. or detuned the computer

I'm the uk so the fuel is pretty high quality anyway. It's really stange this, Cus I've heard alot of people say the 2.0 heads fit the 2.5. But I'm not shure how it can work. I guess I will whack it in and see what happens
