will e38 bbs style 5 wheels fit on my e34? front are 18x8 and rear are 18x9.

E38 wheels will fit on the hub; however, you're going to have some tire height issues. 255/50-ZR18 will likely be too tall, especially if the car is lowered.

I have 255/40-ZR17 on my 540i/6 and that yields a 25.03" tire height. 255/50-ZR18 would give you a 28.04" tall tire. That's way too tall! A 255/35-ZR18 would give 25" height.

Are you sure the tires are 255/50-18???

yeah, i just bought the wheels, i haven't put them on. i guess i will have to change the tires if i want them to fit. how are the 18's doing? i heard they are easy to damage if you hit a pothole? what do you think?
