Default Can I replace my ignition leads

    Just as it says...

Can I replace the leads myself on an M30, or is it an indy job??

The E34 is not a 70's Corolla, so I'm not that confident tackling stuff on her!!

    Gone but NEVER forgotten. :'(

20 minute job. You'll need to remove two nuts holding the lead sheath to the valve cover. Very easy. The cover on the distributor side of the leads pops of with finger pressure on the side latches. Like 632 Regal said, very easy job.

We have a local euro-parts retailer called Imparts here in Tassie. They can get a set of Bosch leads for $440. Its a little dearer, but its good to help them out, as they are part of the BMW owner's group here.

Default I use Imparts in Sydney too

I found them pretty good for one or two parts. If you need a lot, you can get them from BMA in the US and even with the air freight and exchange rate it works out cheaper most of the time.
The other advantage is you can see the part to confirm before you purchase. A bit harder to return it to the US.

About $30 to ship em too.. they are only like 2lbs. I'd take em from BMA for AU$150 anyday. I've never found Imparts (in Sydney) cheap, but yes, they do exist, but no they can't be arsed to put their inventory online so if you ask me its too much hassle dealing with amateurs and paying more... BMA all the way for me- they have better stock, know their ****, offer cheaper prices straight up and have faster shipping than local vendors have ever managed despatch to me- all from the other side of the world.
