Default 518i flat battery? Alarm problem???

I have a 1996 518i fitted with the BMW 3T alarm system which hasn't worked for some considerabel time.

Recently, I have suffered from flat batteries in the morning and having checked the battery and the charging system (both ok) I have a sneaky feeling that the alarm is draining them overnight.

Can anyone tell me how I disconnect it? There has to be a fuse in there somewhere right?

if you have a multimeter that can mesure amperage hook it up in serries (http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknow...ectricity2.htm) and start pulling fuses till the amperage rating goes down. There will be some draw on the battery even if everything is ok (not sure how much off hand).

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I'm getting desperate!
