Reading a Electromotive Tec3-R manual and it lists "6 cyl BMW" as even fire? Is M50 an even or odd fire?

I think that odd fire engine is the one in which the crankshaft rotates alternatingly say 90 degrees then 45 then 90 then 45 before a spark is fired...Originally Posted by yaofeng

Rustam is correct when he explains that odd fire is when cylinders are fired at unequal intervals. This is the result of lopping two cylinders from a V-8 to get a 6 and not recofiguring the crank pins. General motors did it in the sixties and seventies. They were shaking pieces of crap as you might imagine.
The M-50 is a proper even fire engine.
