Default Good Tranny Info from Oldsmobile/GM?

    Well,

Thank you to those who have helped me so far on my quest to fix "Trans Program." I know I have a GM tranny on my 95 525i and I came across this website from GM...curious if anybody thinks that this is applicable to the many problems owners of these cars have?

    http://tech.oldsgmail.com/trans_TCC.php

It seems that some of the HOW-TO's about fixing this problem comes from the info here. I am having problems when downshifting on highways to climb a hill...from the reading...I am wondering what part on the BMW is the "4-3 pulse switch"?

    Take care,
    Chris

what is the "check engine" code thrown off after the car goes into trans program. have you attempted to retrieve the engine code after the car does this? if not, you may gain some insight as to any external factors (such as throttle position sensors, et cetera--i know you ruled the tps out by replacing it)

next time, after it goes "limp",check the engine codes by following the procedure here:

"..Torchinski v. Peterson that it is legal to carry a concealed weapon, so long the weapon is totally slick like a huge ass machine gun that you carry under a trench coat, like in the Matrix."

My mechanic checked it today. He only got a code for a "slippage" but I don't know which code that is?
