    Default Pulsating acceleration

When I step on it and keep the accelerator steady (as in fixed, in one place; don't know how to describe it better) my car seems to accelerate in stages. It feels like the ECU is adjusting throughout the whole time accelerating and every "stage" has more power than the one previous ...

Does anybody recognize this behaviour (maybe it's completely normal)?

Nope, with my stick, its just not a super smooth acceleration. You can feel the points at which power is increased.

My 535 is like that also, except if you load the clutch a bit before finishing a shift, like when you churp the tires in second, then it seems to accelerate cleanly.

I've learned I can accelerate much faster using wheel spin off the line and shifting into second. RWD LSD = fun!

Isn't this directly related to the engines torque curve?
Mine does the same thing and I'm happy that power increases instead of the invers .

I replaced my 02 sensor and it took care of that. It was especially noticeable when I would putt putt up a hill @ 2500-3000 rpm. I still have some damn stinky exhaust though.
