Bruno's website shows a big fuse on M50 525i engine. Attached a pic from his site. Here is a link:

Attached also a pic of my engine bay. Its M50 520i. There is no fuse. Is 520i different? Where is that fuse could be located in my car?
In past I read that if that fuse is cracked it could lead to hesitation during acceleration. Wanna check it.

Where is your battery located? In the engine room?
Usually it is next to the battery. So in case of my E32 the battery is under the rear seat passenger side and the big fuse is just next to the battery under the rear seat.
The battery is located under the rear passenger seat. I saw a fuse in there, but it is not as big as in the picture, in fact it looks the very same way as the fuses in the general fuse box. Its rating was about 36A, if I am not mistaken.

If you follow the +ve lead from the battery you should see the fusible link in-line, probably about a foot away from the battery. The photo from Bruno's website might be a double fusible link - yours could be be a different size/shape. What you're looking for is a (black?) plastic box into which the +ve cable dissappears and "magically" emerges. Unclip the two halves of the box and you should see the fusible link bolted at each end to the +ve wire.
Here a pic from my car with the battery under rear seat, see the black fuse there?

Thanks Shogun. That fuse is indeed near the battery![]()
