Default Can't get out of "S" mode

As much as i love the more spirited driving, i cant let all my gas poor out.

Whenever i push the button to get back into E mode, it changes to E for .5 seconds then is back in S mode. Usually after a couple of hours sitting it goes back automattically into E

so how would i manage to get it outta S???

First try to clean the switch.
On my car it helped to spray with a thin tube/hose (without removing and disassembling the switch) electronic cleaning and contact spray and then I switched the switch about 50 times thru all positions (ignition key removed) to clean all contatct surfaces inside. That worked. No problem since > 1 year.

Make sure the lever is in Drive, and not "3".

i was reading about the sunroof button being able to be rest by holding it in for around 15 secs. The buttons are identical so this button may also have a built in reset. If it's not electrical tho, use proper contact spray with the little spray tube extension, mine gets a work out all the time in the car and around the house.
