When I bought the car, the engine bay had been cleaned. 8000 or so miles later, there is a bit of oil residue around the filler cap. "Simple," I think to myself, "PCV valve."
I can't find it.
Autozone.com says there isn't one. Google isn't much help. Napa can't find it. Bentley makes no mention that I can find.
So, ok, if there isn't one, what would cause oil blowback around the oil filler cap? Thanks in advance.

After 8.000 miles a bit? That is not oil blowing, that is probably just a new for a new gasket to seal the oil filler cap properly.a bit of oil residue around the filler cap.
Cool, I'll look into that. Thanks.Originally Posted by shogun

"Residue" is no big deal. Hopefully it ain't blowby. Check for pressure in the crankcase if it's more than residue. Avoid Autozone like VD.
