740il Headliner

I would like to know if anyone has removed their headliner and replaced the material with new aftermarket cloth. Mine has fallen and I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on this task. (is it worth trying myself) I would also like to know if there is a definitive way to know the exact color to order for the replacement material. I have a black interior and it has a light gray headliner.

Yes, I have done it on my E32 750iL and some other cars meanwhile.

Important is that you get the right material, US cars have to thick material.
