Z1 doors look better on the E34.
Thinking of doing Lambo doors on my e34... Any tips...
Buy a lamborghini.

No even better, put revolving doors on it. Either way you'll really be improving the look.

How the heck would I do Z1 doors... Seems a little odd on a 4 door... Don't know never seen them on an e34... But damn I'd love to have a Z1... Ok, now I'm going to go buy a Lotto ticket... LOL

See, I like the Lambo doors because you can't tell there on the car till you open the doors... And as for buying a Lamborghini... ...Where would I put my son? At least a BMW carries a little weight and protection... I love my e34!
Revolving doors, huh.... Like at the airport... LOL
It's an ambitious project but you are probably on the wrong site to ask about this kind of thing. Most on this site like subtle mechanical mods (some not so subtle!), and maybe a body kit that compliments the beautiful shape and style of the E34. You may be better asking this question on a custom car type site as I predict that the only answers you'll get here are smart arse ones like my revolving door answer. Just remember this. The Lamborghini type door was designed into the car. They were light weight and the frame was re-inforced to take the weight of the door at that angle. The E34 door is HEAVY and you would have to re-inforce the door frame to be able to support the weight. You would also need extra heavy duty struts to hold the damn thing up once it's there. You would also have to re-route all the wiring that goes into the doors. By the time you'd done that you could probably get yourself into a used unloved Lambo like a Jalpa or similar for the same money. Good luck, let us know if you get it done and post a few picks.
