And I still maintain: '90 535im (sold to daughters best friend, one of my favorite bimmers), '92 525im (daughters other best friend now drives this one).
true ... but if you were in my shoes ... what would you do. I need a friendly advice as if I have all of you to consult.
cant see **** from the second cars picture. Do you have access to another engine? It has lower miles and a snroof and manual seats...thats not a BMW you want! LOL good luck with whatever you choose Barry.

I think this one is much better

And more expensive.

Careful with the second one - the engine needs either replacing or a refit (motorschaden = damaged engine). t marat's find is better. Sure it's more expensive, but it's money you will save in the long run. My mum still lives in Germany, and when I went to visit, there were boat loads of petrol (err gasoline) cars for sale cheap as everyone is switching to diesel, so there might bee room for negotiations.
Freude am Fahren - Damn straight!
well sure thing that t_marat saw a good car, but my budget is limited, remember that I still need to pay for shipping this ride and paying customs when I get it from the docks. I'm looking for something like 7600 Euro max.
money is no object...

Money is always lacking
I hope to buy that kind of BMW in 1-2 years. Or maybe a 7 series

thought about the 7 series, but it's huge !! 5er rocks ... it's has the 3 best things in BMW world .. power luxary and compact, as 3 series lacks luxary while 7 series is huge ... you can get the same luxary you have in the 7 series with the same engine with smaller size .. thats the 540i ...
