Default 525tds se idle too fast help please

    hi
being new to both deisel engines and bmw's i would appreciate any hints on
a problem with my 1994 525tds se which idles at around a steady1200 rpm and feels like its constantly pulling me on while trying to slow down (ie when i lift my foot off the accelerator its still pushing on slightly rather than slowing down if that makes any sense.no novice on petrols and know my way around
ok but not sure where to start on this 6 cylinder beauty, otherwise it runs fine
other than a bit less acceleration than i'm used to.

    thanks in advance

i had this happen to me too, turned out to be extreamly stupid. one of the injectors has a signal wire coming from it, it's the third one i think. it got unpluged from the conector (no idea why). this raised the idle to around 1000-1200 rpm. pluging it back in solved it. it's a guess but worth checking.
