Default Are E28 low beams the same as E34?

I was thinking of changing the low beams on a 89 E34 as they are getting dull. Is the actual light (not the plastic carrier) the same as an E28 part number?

E34 uses the H1 bulbs in Australia.

    Thanks

It is one of the parts I like about the e28 design, Paul (which is fundamentally all wrong really); the front lights.

I mean it has too much over the front wheels, too much over the rear (too short a wheelbase), the cabin and door construction is too upright for a modern car, but it is soooo BMW and so well executed from every aeshetic; its just hard not to love the damn thing with a decent set of wheels. The e12 528i is a killer also- its even more e9-like, but it misses that gorgeous front light design that allowed BMW to sell the e28 platform well past the core-design's use-by date... one of my previous gfs said of my earlier e28 535i; 'he's very handsome, isn't he?'

I could imagine the design-team's smiles should any of them have had the opportunity overhere such comments... even all these years later. I still want that car back... but I love my Freida JUST as much.

Isn't that always the way with the best women in one's lives.... only joking peeps...

It was the actual lens I was thinking of.

    The E28 uses P/N 63121369851
    and the E34 uses P/N 63121390275

    Thanks for your help
