    Default Has anyone tried the 20mm rear bar ala e34.net?

    Is it a worthy upgrade for a sedan? How match with the larger front bar?

    Got the 20mm bar on my 89 535. Had the M5 18mm bar on the old 530 I used to have. Got the bar from BMA at a good price, call Patrick for a deal. The rear is very planted. I'm running Sachs suspension kit in the back with the 20mm bar and style 32 wheels, 8's front with 235/45/17 and 9's rear with 255/40/17's. Running 40 pounds air all around, the handling is very neutral. Also have a 3.64 LSD which helps keep things very planted.

    If you have not already done the front bar, Patrick (BMA) can get the 25mm M5 bar too. He orders the bushings and everything you need and it drop ships from Germany in about a week or 10 days.

    Default I have this setup as well.

    I have the 25mm 3.8LM5 bar for the front, and the 20mm Nuerburgring rear bar, coupled with the Sachs kit on 17x8's on my 535. I really like this setup but if you live in an area where the roads are rough you're going to be feeling it some. Roads here aren't that great but I do like the increased response/performance. Between these mods coupled with Mark D'sylva's chip the car is a lot more fun to drive. If this is your goal you would probably appreciate it.

    Default Don't know about the sedan, but

    I'm real happy with the 25mm Dinan adjustable front bar paired with the factory 20mm rear bar on my Touring -- especially considering that I only paid $260 for the pair, including new sway bar bushings and shipping. Adjusting the front bar makes a noticeable difference in turn-in response and under/oversteer. My car has factory sport springs and is shod with 245/45/17 S-O2s.

    Thanks all. Im interested in the 27mm RD front and 20mm rear bar combo because I heard that the 27mm/19mm standard RD setup is very geared towards understeer.
    I currently have the 3.8 M5 19mm rear and 25mm front, and to be honest, there is still a little too much body lean and not quite enough turn in bite for my likes. I do have some bumpy roads here and I really get the impacts with this setup, but I am going to go to a taller sidewall tire to try and soften it a little bit. The responsiveness is so much better than stock now, but Im really looking for the super-flat and responsive steering in the car. I'll probably have these ones up for sale in a little bit, if anyone wants em also.
