Woke up at 5:45A to go ahead and prep buds Mk2 GTI VR6 3.0L Turbo for VW Show N Go. We brought my car, a 911, mk2 GTI, and a truck w/ trailer for the "just in case". GTI ran 3 passes, none worth posting since the car just came back with 6 speed, 3.0L block, and more boost so PT is not familiar with driving it yet. It has <100 miles on it. Held up to track use The event is called VW Show N Go though we don't do any showin', just goin'

Best time was 12.7, same as with the 2.8L motor, clearly the issue is drive familiarity and traction in first gear. I think we were running 9 - 10 psi, but the goal on the motor once fully broken in is about 16 psi or about 500hp.



Oh yeah -- before anyone asks about the 911, its actually an '85 with 993 body panels, gutted and caged, but has nice carpet and interior still in place. It's obviously on kenesis 3 pc wheels. 3.3L flat 6 with twin GT30 ball bearing turbos.
