How are your tyres, are they wearing on the insides? Mine were stuffed without the camber plates, but tyre wear seems to be OK now![]()

And without camber plates.
What are you front camber measurements?
I just looked at my alignment from last year (when I dropped the car) and my camber adjustments in the front are way off. I have -.5* on the left front and -.1* on the right front. I'm just wondering if this is weird?
BTW. My rear cambers are within spec...even after the drop! (maybe cause it didnt drop much at all. lol).

They wear on the inside.
They are in storage now...and the two front tires lean toward the inside. lol.

From my role as official spokesperson for the totally clueless, what is a camber plate?
(I do know what camber is though). My car was lowered when I bought it and I don't know if it has camber plates. I am going to be getting new tires later this year and if wear is going to be an issue, I would like to understand what camber plates do, where they go, etc.

Hi Gayle, camber plates increase the amount of negative camber on the front wheels. They replace the stock strut mounts. You can get fixed or adjustable ones.

After time the strut mounts wear out - it is then a good time to decide if you want to go that route.
Part 1 is the strut mount. You remove this and add the camber plate.
Here is the one I'm after.

When I change the control arms and whatnot, it's a definite do item. Though not horrible like some rice burners with rear tires at 45 degree angles... it's visually off.
