Which gearbox do I have

My gearbox is dead and Iäm trying to source a new one.

I have a 95 touring V8 530ia with the sport and adaptive modes.

Does anybody know what the model number of the gearbox would be?

I think you would have to actually remove it or get to it, to find that out. As it's one of those parts that aren't like engines. Where we could tell you exacly what engine you have in there, but not the gearbox hey. I'm not a 100% sure on this, so wait for, Jeff or someone else who has more experience with the lovely cars, then I do.

It is probably a ZF5HP18. Easy to source.

Check out at www.zf.com or look it up on their online parts catalogue. You will need to select english at the bottom (use IE) and have your vin handy or car's manufcature date.
