    Default Tranny reset?

I'm getting gradually harsher and slower shifts from my tranny, which is a shame because one of the things i loved were how butter smooth they were when I bought the car. No trans prog message yet or anything catastrophic, but it feels like she's getting to her golden years. Is there any way to reset the tranny without disconnecting the battery? I'd like to try something free and easy first before I visit a mech.

My trans isn't happy either lately. The 2-1 downshift has a little "clunk" when it warms up. It will also go away if I reset the trans computer by disconnecting the battery. Very very annoying.

you might be able to disconnect the tranny computer under the hood... that may or may not reset it.

the 540 trans is more adaptine than my 530, I would do the showgun reset.

Have you changed the filter and fluid that came out with it yet? Supposed to do this every 30k.
