    Default Got off my butt today

    Replaced the distributor cap, and rotor.

    Then thought aaaww, what the heck let's put in those new injectors I bought last year, heck do a valve adjustment too.

    Well, all was going fine, until I noticed that the car was leaking something. Touched the puddle & sniffed the fluid....And damn brake fluid!

    I had bumped the brake reservoir with my arm while working and I first thought I cracked the thing.

    I pulled it off and found the the plug/grommets are rotting away.

    Made a call to BMW Service Tech I know (at his home) and no dice...BMW is closed on sunday.

    so the old saying of if it aint broke dont try to fix it prevails?

    at least you found that now then at a more inconvenient time, like in traffic with no brakes.

    Default old injectors

    Boy....These were pretty scrungy, couldn't even see the pin in the nozzle.

    Default All buttoned up

    Wow, runs smooth, no injector ticks.

    Valve adjustement seemed okay. the previous service had them all tighter than .254mm, so I found myself losening up the valves.

    Put the brake reservoir back on with the old gromments and zip tied it down. Now I'll watch it overnight to see if it leaks before I try to drive it.
