Default e34 Cd changer install (have a good laugh)

I bought a CD changer off of ebay and when it finally arrived, I think (I never found out or was able to figure out) it was missing several mounting pieces and/or brackets. Making several trips to different dealers and having no luck, I decided to rig up the Cd changer. I was looking around the trunk trying to figure out what I can do to mount the changer when the piece was staring me right in the face. You know the metal ring that secures the spare tire to the shaft with the wing nut? Bingo. I was able to find a screw in my garage and screw the spare tire ring into the top of the trunk. The changer then mounted to the spare tire disk and the rest is history. Finally, I added a piece of foam to absorb some of the hard bumps and it was good to go. No skipping or anything so far. It's the little (free) cheap fixes that make you appreciate your wallet lol.

Don't know if you can see the yellowish metal disk at the top of the picture, but that's the metal disk that secures the spare tires to the connecting rod.

Probably a temporary fix that will be forgotten because it's on their pretty damn good. I had my friend (130 pounds) hang on it and try to loosen it up before putting the cd changer up and it didn't budge unless you push it from the side with a ridiculous amount of force. Thanks for trying to help me out btw.

This should work. That is if you want the correct mounitng kit.

For some reason is states for a 10 disk changer. It looks like the one in my car. I have a BMW/pioneer changer.

Default Other option for 94 530i Touring?

I suspect you may have had different brackets for some reason. For example, I believe the BMW/Apline 6 cd changer may use different brackets. Or did your changer come from an E34? If not the changer brackets would be different.

I have the same looking changer that you do and the brackets that fit perfectly with my car are in my first post. I suspect the touring uses the side mounting brackets in this post
