    Default Suspension

In the past several weeks I nearly completely overhauled the front suspension. These were changed:
Lower and upper thrust arms. Both right and left.
    Stabiliser Link, right&left.
Steering ball joints, all of them 4pcs
Steering rubber mounting, number 15 in the picture

Front suspension no longer make those horrible noises. I only get some slight vibration on the steering wheel only if I ran over some roughness at high speed. I was advised this was due to my steering box having some slackness. I told the mechanic of the nuts on the steering column and the adjustability of the steering box. But the guy was telling these won't work, that he tried these on a lot of BMWs.

The worst part is that I am starting to get some other noise. Its different, and I sometimes get that noise over flat surfaces or when I am braking. While braking, just when the car is about to stop, I get that clinking (not clunk) noise. I went back and had them to recheck, everything seems to be fine.

Have you checked your sway bar links?
These tend to make a light metallic clinking rattle.

Check for cracks on the inner fender brace. Located just behind the wheel and splash shield. See photo in post 5:
