Default M30 Cylinder Head - Milling Question

Does the M30 cylinder head had a 3/16 in diameter dimple at either end of the head ( about .1mm deep) to detemine if the head has been milled. ( if it is not there, the head has been milled) Or is the only way to tell - take it to a machine shop and have it measured? FYI - I have been told the head hieght is 129 mm wit .1mm tolerance.

the issue of using the dimple depth you reference as a baseline for determining if the head has been milled is the dimple is cast in which has an associated high tolerance relative to the original or revised head height due to machining. The best way to determine if the head has been milled is to measure the overall deck height dimension which I believe is posted in Bentley or the TIS for the M-30 head.
