Default I am sorry I don't have pic. but I don't know how to explain let me try.......

I mean MAF meter connectes to AIR box by 2 hex screws, but the joint is like MAF 2 pipes join togther and pipes you turn(twist) left and right ( kinda of motion you would use to open or insert a hose into connector)

Regal, Did you get what I am talking about now? If now I will try to take pic this weekend.

It sorta swivels a little bit, but that is ok and normal. Any pinching of the wire, or air leaks in the boot, either before the MAF, but especially after, is not good though.

    Default Its before MAF meter.....

    here in this pic

    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...48&hg=13&fg=20

screw number 5 holds and presses MAF meter against air box, but if I hold MAF meter by hand and try to twist then moves about 15 to 30 degree clockwise and then anticlockwise.

I am think is that the way its suppose to be or I have some seal/ring/gasket gone bad?

    Thanks

    Normal.

It's so you can take off the air filter box (which requires some swivel clearance) without disconnecting the MAF.

You should have 45-60 degrees of swivel, but no play back and forth against the mount to the box.
