whatcha talkin bout watters?
Any body seen any for the e34?? really interested as its generally an easy upgrade. Plastic heats up way to fast, and its changing the tubes wouldnt effect Bmw's amazing intake box would it?

to the box I wouldnt touch, the inlet has different part numbers on real oem such as the 540 has a different one than the 530, id assume the 540s is bigger but I wouldnt go any more than replace that particular part. It might even slow the car down so without track testing it myself I couldnt recommend changing it.
I kmow Im no help man, just trying to give you Id's.

BMW's stock intake system is very non-restrictive on it's own. I'm almost positive changing the stock tubes wouldn't create any more power or run any coolor.
Even changing from the OEM paper to a K&N drop-in filter has been known to increase the amount of particulates entering the engine.
Basically, M30 = keep stock intake (unless you're going FI).
