    Default Jeff.......yeah I like the 750s alot

    Is that a bit better?

    I posted that last night at 12:30am from work.....I knew what I was trying to say and I knew it wasn't going to come out right......a buddy of mine came over and took the keyboard from me....haha

    I'm not sure if you will get the extra $$$$ worth out of the S-03.

    Just a slight bit of embellishment on Ed's part? In truth though, both DSC and ASC+T both reduce engine power to control rear-wheel spin...if that doesn't work, they apply braking to the rear wheel(s) through the ABS channel. I think Ed's wife should keep him away from the Z3...let him screw up his own car...

    But not very much embelishment. ASC does use both just as you say, engine control (power reduction) and applies rear brakes. But at least when I drive the Z3 very hard, the rear tire braking kicking in causes those rear brakes to get pretty hot. You can smell them, hell, the friend driving behind us could smell them! Yes, this is hard driving, around turns, slipping that rear end, with poor tires. The engine power ruduction can't keep up so the rear brakes are always kicking in, in this hard driving case. At least this is my opinion on what's happening.

    Wow, Ed, your Mrs. must be pretty understanding! *LOL* Either that, or you bring the car home, hide it in the garage, and come into the house looking all innocnet!

    I've never driven the 540 hard enough to heat up the rear brakes from ASC+T application...then again, the 255/40-17's in back hook up pretty well. That, and when I want to er...."have fun", I turn off the ASC like you mentioned...something about the sound of a big V-8 chirping tires as you slingshot out of a curve!

    Default I have Bridgestone Potenza RE950s on my E30, and

    If they were made in my E34 size, I'd get them in a heartbeat. I think they are the best tire I ever had. But RE750 is a totally different beast, from what I understand.

    Default I normally wouldn't recommend Goodyears, but....

    Check out the Tirerack on these....I couldn't believe the ratings and when I went to look at the reviews of 44 other BMW owners, there wasn't nothing but praise about these tires....

    I hate to say it, but it would be between the S-03's and the 750's with the Goodyears thrown in there to keep 'em honest...

    Check it out, they are even offering a $75 gas card!!
