Default Are You having Intake Camshaft Problems ?

In my last post I made an error and said that I was having problems with the crankshaft position sensor but I just recently found out that it is the intake camshaft position sensor. Does anyone know exactly where it is located and if it is easy to install??? If you have pictures of where the part is located or of the part, please send me a picture.... Remember this part is for my 2001 525i.

    Need help in a hurry!!!

    My husband fixed the problem......

It was the intake camshaft position sensor. Of course he had to replace both of them....Now everything is back to normal...The bimmer is running smoothly and out-running everything on the road, AGAIN!!!!
    Thanks for your help......

it's pretty common problem, it's on the front of the motor just below the valve cover on the intake manifold side of the head, it triggers off the cam sprocket so it should be obvious the area it can be in and still reach the sprocket
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
