    Default 100W H1 instead of 55W?

I replaced my H1 bulbs (55W) with 100W H1, but wasn't amased with their strenght.
I thought that difference would be greater visually. They are a blue-white like plasma xenon lights.
Is there a problem putting 100W bulbs instead of 55W?
Maybe they need different relay or something to gain full strenght?

I would be more worried about burning the wiring harness the bulbs are on and starting a fire. Take those bulbs out immediately.

on another note - I dont know how people get away with selling those "Plasma Xenon" bulbs as Xenon. They have filaments and therefore are not Xenon gas. They dont have igniters and dont cost $300-$500.

That is the reason why you are probably dissapointed with the light output. BTW - true Xenon lights probably draw maybe 30 amps at the most. - JT

Hey you are correct - it was early this morning and my brain was functioning under the cloud of long dead brain cells I killed in the late sixties. 30 Watts is the final answer - JT

i've been running 100w h1s on my e30 for years on the stock wiring, putting hella h4/h1s was one of the first things i did to that car as sealed beams suck, i did need to go from 7.5 amp fuses to 15 but i figured that'd be ok as they are fused left and right instead of just one fuse, been on a few long overnight trips through the mountains so it has had plenty of run time on them over the last 70-80k miles. of corse this doesn't mean that a e34 will be as happy
