Remote locking problem with E34 530

Hello all,

I have just bought my new baby - see my signature below I have had a strange problem since I bought it when using the factory fitted remote locking key fob.

When I unlock the car remotely - all doors unlock and alarm is switched off except the drivers door. This can then be unlocked with the key as per normal.

When i try to lock the car with the remote fob - all locks except the drivers door lock, and then unlock, but the alarm engages. If I then repeat the process, all doors lock except the drivers door.

When using the key (I believe it is a master key) - the central locking works perfectly.

Has anyone ever seen/experienced this before? It is not a huge deal as the alerm still works fine (which is most important) but it is cool to have remote locking/unlocking.

Hello all,

Looks like it's the remote door locking mechanism in the drivers' door. Took the door card off - but it looks like a bitch to get to.
