I recall seeing a console that someone made from an old burled walnut shifter surround. It was angled and held three guages at the front of the existing wooden shifter surround. Does anyone have references or details for building this?

there is one in the making, and will be available in a few months, made out of aluminum i believe. It will be custom tailored using wood or vinyl to your preference. That's all teh info i have/can give at the time, and will house up to 3 VDO Vision gauges, which VERY closely match the stock ones.
