Suspension recommendations for 535i?

I have a 1990 535i. Right now the car has stock weaves with blizzaks, however the pilot sports on M-pars are sitting in my basement waiting for winter to end. I don't track my car, however I'm looking for a nice drop with the added bonus of better handling. The roads in my area are very harsh in some spots.

I'm not looking for coilovers, just a shock/spring combo I believe. Does anyone have recommendations for a daily driver? I also DO NOT want to ruin the decently smooth ride off of the freeway.

i'm rocking a SACHS kit and i love it. i've experienced several other e34 setups and based on what you're looking for i think you'd probably want one. love the m-parallel .. probably the nicest wheel for the car

incidentally, the M on your 535iM simply means your car is manual.. not an M car (in case you have that confused)

The sachs kit has a nice drop on it. Firms up the handling and ride nicely. You will notice a difference with sportier wheels/tires. I have a set of 17" that I use on the track, and with these on the car you'll lose some of that smooth freeway ride, but not with the stock 15".

I also have the Sachs kit with 17" wheels and I love it.

It's exactly what you're asking for: a nice drop, MUCH better handling and still a comfy ride.

Note that my sig pic doesn't illustrate the full drop at the front since my old suspension was still in the trunk for that pic

I have had the Sachs for about 4.5yrs. If you run 18in rims, maybe look into the Mtech springs koni combo for a more compliant ride with adjustability. The Sachs can get harsh especially with 18in rims and thicker swaybars.
