How do they get $22k on a 97 740 with a bad motor? Did he tow it to the spot? Maybe a second quote or opinion of the motor replacement - $8k is an awful lot for that.

nah swap in a real mill, get the alpina 4.6 from a automatic z8 or the 4.6is x5, a shade under 350hp if i remember right

well this was a few years ago and maybe they weren't told about the bad motor as it was his dads shop, can't speak about 8k for a motor, actually i am doing a e38 motor right now but i don't know what we are charging, used car we know lot sold the car and a couple months later the motor pukes, and the guy talks the lot owner into splitting the cost, i just discovered the guy is trying to **** the lot owner as he killed the motor by sucking water, this could get ugly, been in the middle of this **** before
