    Default 2004 International Auto Show

Went to the 2004 show in Atlanta this afternoon. My overall impression is "Damn, new cars sure are getting expensive".

Default Yes, it is amazing what new cars cost......

.....compared to a 3-5 year old used model. Since BMW has some sort of bumper-to-bumper, maintenence included, buy nothing but gas warranty these days, I guess if you have the money or can at least make the payments you can get behind the wheel of a new car with no extra expences for a few years for not tooooooo much cash. I've always been of the opinion (and it's the opinion of a somewhat poor man!) that if a person can just get past the idea of needing a NEW CAR, something like a 10 year old E34 for maybe $7-10k and another $5-10k for upgrades and maintenence gets you a HELL OF A CAR for the $$$$$! Then again, my '95 525ia stickered for about $43k 9 years ago, so if you add inflation to that amount, the new fives will be great deals.........in about 10 years! (still ugly though!)
