    Default Custom brake ducts revisited

Bruno sent me some links on how to install custom brake ducts seen here 1, 2, 3, 4.

I'm thinking of using 2" or 2.5" tubing, trimming the rotor sheilds away and having the tubing starting from the front on the car at the front air dam or possibly next to the fog lights. I want to keep the fog lights.

    Bruno's car

    My car

You can see in Bruno's e34 that maybe the fog light can stay and having the opening on the other side.

The tubing will exit onto the rear of the rotor (now with no shielding there), I'm thinking of attaching it to the swaybarlink. Have any other members done this setup? What companies are out there to get the materials, like the tubing?. I can get e34 540 ducts but it's at least US$230. I think a custom setup would be better I know it won't make any difference on the street, but at track days it will.

It has to fit in there somewhere

I would take the tubing out when driving on the street and use it only on the track.

Your definately gonna want to take them off for the street. I drove a e36 M3 track car that had them on, and you couldnt go anywherre close to full lock without the tires rubbing the ducts.
